Project Solomon
Danville, VA
Branch was a subcontractor for this design-build project, which includes a 300,000 SF food processing facility on a 55 acre greenfield site. Branch’s scope of work comprises 250,000 CY of unclassified excavation for the building pad, stormwater retention and bio-retention ponds, and the roads and parking lots on the site, utility work including installation of the storm sewer, gravity sanitary sewer, pressurized process sewer with lift stations, domestic water and fire water, site concrete, aggregate subbase, guardrail, pond liner, and erosion and sediment control installations and maintenance. Branch also completed the project’s mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services.
Branch prefabricated specified sleeves for wall pours at the waste treatment building and the lift station pit. These sleeves and penetrations were last-minute design changes that required non-corrosive materials. Branch’s Roanoke-based fabrication shop was able to fabricate and deliver all materials for the concrete pour dates.
