Project Patriot (Amazon Distribution Center)

Branch subcontracted with The Conlan Company for all sitework associated with construction of a 3.8M SF Amazon Distribution Center, located on an 89 acre parcel in Suffolk, VA. Branch was responsible for all sitework consisting of clearing and grubbing, erosion and sediment control (E&SC), earthwork, installation of best management practices (BMP) stormwater facilities, building load transfer platform, storm, water, and sanitary utilities, site concrete,
asphalt paving, pavement markings, signage, and wheel stops.

During negotiations with the Owner, Branch was able to provide schedule solutions that allowed for building construction to begin within approximately 45 days from mobilization to the site. Branch began early clearing and E&SC work in late December 2019. Working through holidays and the winter weather season, Branch was able to deliver the first critical schedule milestone for the project and allow building construction to begin in January 2020. Branch continued to progress its work of the project, through coordination with the general contractor and its other subcontractors, and successfully substantial completion of all six critical schedule milestones of Branch’s subcontract.
