Donald Graul named in Virginia’s Top 500 Power List

Virginia Business magazine has named the Branch Group’s CEO, Donald Graul, as one of Virginia’s Top 500 most influential and powerful executives in the state.

The list is decided considering “annual revenue, newsworthiness, community involvement, diversity, number of employees (in Virginia and worldwide) and how large a presence the organization has in the commonwealth.” Since joining us in December of 2020, Donald has worked hard to pivot our Top 250 ENR ranked employee-owned company for the post-pandemic world and positioning us as a leading multi-solution contractor in the Mid-Atlantic.

BRANCH EXPANDS NORTH CAROLINA THROUGH YOUNG & MCQUEEN ACQUISITION

Branch has announced the acquisition purchase of Burnsville, N.C.-based Young & McQueen, a contractor specializing in heavy civil, highway, site work, bridges, and structures construction. The 37-year-old contracting firm was founded by Sam and Kim Young, who wanted to transition the business to employee-ownership. The Youngs are local entrepreneurs and have other holdings that were not part of this sale.
