Branch and Surfaces, our trusted trade partner, was recognized by the Virgina Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for its design of Quillen Spirit Plaza at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia. The VAASLA awarded Branch a Merit Award in the General Design Category for its collaborative and innovative design.
The design infused elements that celebrates the spirit of Hokie Nation. Virginia Tech’s brand elements were emphasized throughout the plaza, including stadium seat walls, new accessible pathways, a sloped lawn, landscaping beds, outdoor tables and seating. A Hokie Bird statue was added for photo opportunities.
