The second annual Putting for Pediatric Care golf tournament in Leesburg, Virginia, raised a record-breaking $76,497 for the University of Virginia (UVA) Health Pediatric Cancer Center – a vital resource that provides healing and hope to children battling cancer.
The event was held on Friday, May 2, at the picturesque Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club in Leesburg, and brought together friends, trade partners, and community supporters for 18 holes of golf and inspirational speeches from the caregivers at UVA Health.
Celebrating Jillian – and the thousands of kids just like her
The day took on a deeper meaning after meeting Jillian, a beautiful girl battling leukemia of the pancreas, a rare and scary disease.
Because of the research and advanced care available at UVA Health, Jullian received one of the innovative treatments that give patients better outcomes and hold great promise to cure cancer.
Accompanied by her parents, Jillian joined us on the green to accept the donation on behalf of UVA Health. Her family shared their heartfelt story and thanked Branch and the golfers for their generosity. They underscored how these funds will support life-saving care for kids just like her.
At Branch, we’re used to building strong foundations and structures – but this event reminded us of the power of building hope.
The money raised will directly benefit the UVA Health Pediatric Cancer Center, funding critical treatments, research, and support services for children and their families. It’s a testament to what we can achieve when our community comes together.
