The Complete 540 Phase 1 project in North Carolina has been selected as one of Roads & Bridges Magazine’s Top 10 Roads for 2025.
The project, delivered in a joint venture with Flatiron, is a transformative segment of the much-anticipated Complete 540 expressway — a vital transportation corridor in the rapidly growing Raleigh-Durham metropolitan region of North Carolina.
This phase adds approximately 13.5 miles of six-lane expressway, bridging key corridors south of Raleigh and connecting to the interstate network.
As highlighted by Roads & Bridges, the project’s innovative engineering, thoughtful coordination, and community-centric improvements were key to its recognition. From advanced interchange designs to seamless integration of multiple construction contracts, the Branch and Flatiron teams delivered a technically complex, high-impact roadway that enhances mobility, safety, and regional connectivity.
This award continues a legacy of excellence for Branch. It’s the seventh consecutive year a Branch-affiliated project has earned this industry distinction.
