Donald Graul Named Branch Group Chief Executive Officer

The Branch Group of Companies, headquartered in Roanoke, VA, is pleased to announce the appointment of Donald “Don” Graul as Chief Executive Officer, effective December 14, 2020.

Don comes to Branch most recently from his role as President of Construction and Connected Communities for Parsons Corporation. At Parsons, he was responsible for improving execution and driving growth for Construction, Digital Solutions, Intelligent Transportation Systems, Connected Infrastructure, and Smart Cities. By prioritizing technology and constant innovation, Don led these divisions by leveraging the digital transformation of infrastructure and providing disruptive, seamless, integrated, and secure advanced technology solutions.

Don held several roles at Parsons, including the Executive Vice President of Construction with responsibility for coordinating construction across all Parsons business units. He also served as Senior Executive, Alternative Project Delivery, responsible for coordination, integration, and development of alternative project delivery systems across all of Parsons’ global transportation divisions.

In addition to his contributions at Parsons, Don was Senior Vice President at AECOM, where he was responsible for directing the transportation, water, and energy business lines’ (civil infrastructure), business development, and operational activities in the alternative delivery market. His impressive career also includes leadership roles with Modern Continental Construction, URS Corporation, and Fluor Corporation.

With more than 38 years of industry experience, Don has an extensive background in operations, business development, organizational management, and business turnarounds. His public-private partnership (P3) experience includes the procurement of many of North America’s largest P3 projects.

Don holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Nebraska and completed the Senior Executive Programme at London Business School. He is a registered professional engineer in several US States.

In addition to his responsibilities at Parsons, Don was just inducted into the National Academy of Construction, is on the ARTBA and Beavers Construction boards, and is an active member of the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Associated General Contractors of America, and the Design-Build Institute of America.
