Roanoke County’s Department of Developmental Services awarded Branch its prestigious Stormwater Clean Award for exceptional environmental efforts.
Branch was recognized for its focus and efforts constructing the Roanoke County Career and Technical Educational Center on Peters Creek Road.
Branch enlisted the right team of professionals to minimize erosion, contain sediment on the project, and manage compliance efforts with Virginia’s stormwater regulations.
With the Blue Ridge Mountain range running through Roanoke County, land development in the area can present difficult challenges in the management of stormwater runoff. Steep slopes and highly erodible soils pose multiple challenges to developers.
Roanoke County created a Contractor Appreciation Program to recognize land-disturbing contractors who conduct exemplary work within the County to protect its natural water resources.
