Roanoke Memorial Hospital Expansion

Branch partnered with Robins & Morton to complete a transformative expansion of Carilion Clinic’s Roanoke Memorial Hospital. The project introduced several key additions to the medical campus, including a new behavioral health facility, a multi-level parking structure, and a pedestrian skyway linking the complex. Encompassing more than 500,000 square feet across 12 stories, the Crystal Spring Tower serves as the home of the Cardiovascular Institute, the region’s only Level 1 trauma center, and an expanded Emergency Department.

Designed with long-term adaptability in mind, the tower incorporates flexible patient care spaces, modern procedure suites, and infrastructure to accommodate future medical advancements. Notable features include a rooftop helipad, dedicated pediatric trauma bay, advanced surgical environments, and specialized diagnostic and treatment labs.
