Branch was recognized by the Virginia ASLA for its design on the Quillen Spirit Plaza on the Virginia Tech campus in Blacksburg, Virginia.
The design infused elements that celebrated the spirit of Hokie Nation, fostered social interaction, and collaboration. Hokie Nation brand elements were emphasized throughout the plaza and included the building of stadium seat walls, incorporated new accessible pathways, seating, a sloped lawn, landscaping beds, outdoor seating, and tables. A HokieBird statue was added for photo opportunities.
