Why Construction?
My interest in construction began at an early age. I have always been fascinated by how things work and how they are put together. Growing up, I enjoyed helping my dad work out in our shop building everything from birdhouses to the back porch on our house. When the time came to decide what I wanted to do for a career, I found Virginia Tech’s construction program and found a niche in the construction industry.
Hobbies
Some of my hobbies and interests include hiking, camping, hunting…practically anything that involves being outside. I also like to work with my hands and enjoy working on various woodworking projects in my spare time.
Career Goal
Looking forward into my career, I am still on the fence as far as whether I want to follow a superintendent or project manager routes. There are aspects of each of the positions that I feel like I could enjoy doing for a career.
