Hobbies

My hobbies include guitar, hunting, fishing, kayaking, and playing the occasional video game. I grew up in a small, rural town where there was not much to do other than go outside and enjoy your surroundings.

Why Construction?

Growing up I spent a lot of time with my grandfather, who was a carpenter, building an assortment of things around his house. This is where my initial interest in construction came from and I continued to pursue that interest in high school with multiple carpentry classes at the technical school connected to my high school. While in high school I realized I wanted to go to college and do more than just a trade school, and that is when I found the Building Construction program at Virginia Tech.

Career Goal

In the future, I see my true career goal being to start my own construction business with my father being my partner. I want to gain all the knowledge I can now, so that later in my life I can create this business and be as successful as possible.
