Will Karbach’s fascination with the construction industry started when he was a kid. He loved playing with Tonka trucks, and his dad would always get on him for leaving them scattered across the garage. As Will got older, he discovered that he enjoyed civil engineering because there was a sense of balance to it, and that’s the path he took.
Will earned his civil engineering degree with a specialization in construction management in 1987 from Rutgers University in New Jersey. He spent eight years gaining experience and worked his way up from estimating engineer to project manager. Eager to find a new opportunity to help support his wife and three children, Will applied for a position at Branch Highways (now Branch Civil) in 1996. Tom Partridge, former vice president of operations and eventual president of E.V. Williams, hired him as an assistant project manager, (more…)
Adam Clayton had two career interests when he was younger: the trades and public safety. Even though he enjoyed spending his summer breaks doing small jobs involving electrical work, painting, or installing insulation, he decided to pursue a career in law enforcement.
Adam’s successful public safety career was propelled by his desire to help people, which he said was just part of his DNA. He didn’t have a real desire to climb the ladder; He wanted to make a difference and then go home to his family. But it didn’t take long for people to notice he was a natural leader, and with that came several advancement opportunities.
He was a private investigator for many years, and that led him to the FBI, where he was a task force agent. As Adam continued to excel, he completed (more…)
Lisa Rogers is joining the Branch Group Project Accounting Team on Tuesday, September 3rd. Lisa will be based at the Branch Civil Office in Cary, NC and will be handling the Joint Ventures with Flatiron, both in Northern Virginia and the Raleigh area in North Carolina.
